  While harvesting bamboo from tropical jungle... Bamboo - its own, still fresh, high humidity, high level of starch(similar to timber wood logs). If we put bamboo outside in normal temperature condition  without treatment and protection: it will get mold, fungus,  insect within 24 months...   . Bamboo need to be treated in traditional(legend of treating bamboo)and advance modern process to gain grade A of quality(strength as steel, and more) meet high requirement of construction,& architecture, furniture purposes to last long  for years(20-30 years).

 

    Bamboo is selected strictly at the beginning of steps: from harvesting then bending for straight bamboo poles shape, cleaning, preservative measure of non-toxic salt-tetraborat bozat (viet nam oi la ha`n the), steam heat pressure at high temperature  in 20 foot large pipe of tank  for 90 hours and drying  techniques(kiln-dry). These steps must be proceeded by the skilled workers to meet high quality control of bamboo for building construction.

Solid bamboo has never grown individual as moso or tolkin. It grows in the bamboo bush(10-20 timber bamboo per bush)..the workers need to select  mature bamboo in those ones. This job required skill if not thorny bamboo would tear to their hand.

 

On the other hand, solid bamboo has wall thickness and the node is very hard and strong, distance between nodes are shorter than moso or tolkin so that it is less cracking and  not easy to split. Its own structure is natural resistant against wood-boring beetle...

=> Bend bamboo to be straight:

Bamboo solid has prominent nodes and it is is not straight as moso. In order to build house and construction project effectively, we need to bend bamboo to be straight...

 

=> Water preservation:

 

All bamboo must be kept in a large underground tank of water for 60 days in normal temperature in order to remove all the insects inside bamboo finally. The preservative water proceeding makes bamboo more durable and sturdy.

=> Cleaning

 

After selection and bending, water preservation. All the dirt on surface of bamboo is remove by brushes careful ...

 

=> Dried naturally by sun

 

Next process, bamboo is dried by sun for 7 days to pop out natural yellow color.

 

=> Steam heat pressure process( heating system)

 

Complete all above, in a pipe has large diameter- bamboo is heated by passing hot steam which steam is generated in boilers, especially at high pressure.

 

=>Kiln-dried: Drying treatment to reach 10%-15% moisture - Meet the standard moisture contents of bamboo and rattan-.

Bamboo need be dried for 3 days to reach required standard of bamboo moisture 10%-15%.

 

 

By many steps of a self-container treatment process for 5 months to make a heavy duty bamboo poles grade A for construction, furniture, eco-architecture, resorts, luxury home, bungalows, tiki huts, and 101 applications...
